Google's Play Store turned one yesterday. The Play Store was earlier called the MarketPlace, until Google rechristened it last year. Of course in India, the Google Play Store only offers apps and books and not movies and music like in the US and UK. Hopefully that will change soon.

On their Google Play page, the Play Store team wrote,

It was just a year ago today that we launched this amazing shop on the interwebs to offer the best in digital content. Since the best parties are the ones that send you home with a present, today we celebrate our birthday with a festive goodie bag full of gifts. Don't delay in picking up these limited-time offers. It's been an incredible first year and we look forward to sharing the gift of digital diversions for many more to come.

Google is being generous and promises lots of gifts and discounts. Currently there are five offers by Google. The first is the Fancy Gift Card, app which allows, is a free $15 gift card that comes with free shipping but only for US residents.

The second discount is on Hotels.com app. US users who book their stay through app will get a 10 percent off for a limited time period.

Gnome Village Birthday also has a new "Mars Location" — an all-new world with unique characters and quests.  Royal Revolt also has a new custom birthday-wish themed map, a unique item and comes with 50 percent savings on in-game goodies.

Hopefully there were be more goodies soon.
