| It's Douglas Adams' 61st birthday today! And Google is rather pleased.
Google known for their innovative doodles have taken a leap into the future with their doodle for the sci-fi author's birthday. Today's Google Doodle gives us a glimpse into Adams' bestseller trilogy: A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The innovative doodle shows us the interior of a space-ship. However, it is not the regular NASA capsule but a spaceship of the future. We can see the stars pass by through the tiny window in the top right and on the left and side is an elevator with a robot. Imagine have a robot co-pilot on a spaceship! How cool! There's also a calculator that shows you not digits but is more of a navigator. But hey, we won't reveal it all! Click on the gadgets or simply scroll over them to watch their magic! Image Courtesy: Wikipedia However, the best feature we like are the two buttons below the window. While one button is for turning sounds off, the search button takes us to the Google search page for Douglas Adams. Douglas Adams is for sure famous for this "trilogy in five parts" but few people know that Douglas got the idea for his mind-blowing series while lying drunk on a field in Austria.
