The A45 AMG has a four-wheel drive system that sends power to the front wheels in "normal driving", but can direct up to 50 per cent to the rear wheels, depending on the situation and driver inputs. A seven-speed dual clutch transmission is standard. The A45 AMG's exhaust system features a control flap that's designed to create more noise when the driver is accelerating hard, but also allow quiet motorway cruising. An AMG performance exhaust that creates an "even more emotional and striking" engine sound is an option. Compared with other A-class models, the A45 AMG gets upgraded, stiffer suspension and bespoke steering settings. Cosmetic tweaks include a "twin blade" front grille, black air intake surrounds, AMG alloy wheels and square exhaust tailpipes. The interior gains Artico (artificial leather) seat trim, a carbon-fibre-effect dashboard covering, red seat belts and an AMG instrument cluster. Pricing is yet to be announced, but the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is likely to cost at least £32,000 when it goes on sale in July. ![]() via Technology - Google News http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNFpQAYnk_q2RGKgX2lboc_6snzESw&url=http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/car-manufacturers/mercedes-benz/9868544/Mercedes-Benz-A45-AMG-gets-355bhp.html | |||
