NEW DELHI: Lava has announced the launch of its new smartphone Xolo A1000 in India. The device has a 5-inch touchscreen and is just 70.8mm wide and 8.8mm thick, and the manufacturer claims it is the first phablet designed for a single hand operation. The display of Lava Xolo A1000 can handle HD videos (shot at 720p) and features One Glass Solution (OGS) technology. The integration of OGS technology is behind the sleek body of the device, the company said. The smartphone runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1GHz d ual-core processor, paired with 1GB RAM. On the back of Lava Xolo A1000 is an 8MP camera, while a 1.2MP unit is placed in the front. The internal memory of the smartphone is 4GB and it can support microSD expansion up to 32GB. Powered by a 2,100mAh battery, the phone offers music playback time of approximately 21 hours. The all-new Lava Xolo A1000 will be available in the market at Rs 13,999 in two colour options - black and white.
