iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 spotted at Apple suppliers, both to launch this year ... - Macworld UK

iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 have reportedly been spotted at Apple's suppliers by a source who claims that both smartphones will launch this year.

Chinese site Laoyaoba.com cites a source who claims that the iPhone 5S looks much like the iPhone 5, but that the iPhone 6 has a 5in screen and is also thinner and lighter.

Reports that Apple is working on a larger iPhone first came to light in January, when China Times claimed that an 'iPhone math' with a 4.8in iPhone would launch this year. It's believed that the name 'iPhone math' is a mistranslation from 'iPhone plus'.

Barclays Capital analyst Ben Reitzes has said that Apple needs to launch a bigger iPhone, which he has dubbed an 'iPhablet, because he expects the larger phone market to dominate smartphone shipment growth into 2015.

Reitzes believes that Apple will launch an iPhone 5S towards the middle of 2013, as well as a low-cost iPhone for emerging markets. He doesn't expect the bigger iPhone to launch until the last quarter of 2013, or the beginning of 2014.

In January, photographs of alleged leaked iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 parts surfaced online, also hinting that Apple is working on two iPhones for launch this year.
