Bajaj Auto sells 8500 KTM Duke 200 motorcycles in 2012 - Livemint

Mumbai: Bajaj Auto Ltd said it sold 8,500 KTM Duke 200 motorcycles in 2012, "making it by far the largest selling premium motorcycle brand in the country."
The Indian company builds the bike under licence from Austrian motorcycle maker KTM Power Sports AG, in which Bajaj holds a 47% stake.

Bajaj defines premium motorcycles as those priced above Rs1 lakh (ex-showroom). The Duke 200 costs Rs 1.17 lakh.

KTM plans to expand its model range and is set to launch three new street bikes over the next year. Bajaj sells KTM bikes through a network of 70 dealerships.
