Asus MemoPad 10 Press Photos and Price Leak Out - The Droid Guy

Press photos of a supposedly upcoming Asus device called the MemoPad 10 are believed to have recently been leaked out. The source of the leak is said to be Netherlands. Meanwhile, its unofficial price has also been spotted from sources in Italy and Germany. This is not, however, the first time that information about the Asus MemoPad 10 were leaked. Prior to these, an unboxing video of the same device was uploaded by the Mobilarena blog more than a week ago. Furthermore, around the beginning of the year, online listings revealed some of the specifications of the tablet. Going back to the press shots, Adrian Diaconescu writing for Android Authority observes that the Asus MemoPad 10 shares some many similarities in terms of design with the Transformer Pad TF300T, another device from Asus, except that the new slate does not come with a docking station. Pictured in the leaked shots are the white and blue models of the MemoPad 10, but it is expected that the device will also be offered in red and pink models, as well. As for the price, listings on Amazon Germany and online stores in Italy indicate that the price of the 10-incher starts at €349, which is around US $477. Notebook Italia, nonetheless reports that the suggested retail price for the tablet will be €300 or roughly US $410. The Asus MemoPad 10 will purportedly sport a 10.1-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. Inside, it will feature a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra processor working with a full gigabyte of RAM. The size of its internal memory is 16GB, but there will be support for expansion via microSD. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will be its operating system. The slate will likewise pack a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera complemented by a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It will also weigh around 580 grams, and be a little bit thicker than the Transformer Pad TF300T, measuring 10.5 mm.
