Twitter's new video-sharing app 'filled with porn' that 'cant be removed' - Indian Express

The new video-sharing app, Vine, which was launched by Twitter, has come under fire as it is being filled with sexually-explicit content, a report has said. The ease and lack of restrictions on the service, called Vine, allows for racy users to spread porn quickly. Like with Twitter, users are able to search the platform by hashtags, so technology commentors began realizing the problem when a quick run of the term porn, or a vast array of more specific sexual tags, immediately produces a host of dirty videos, the Daily Mail reports. According to the paper, Tech Crunch pointed out that Twitter administrators are known for their censorship-free stance and only budge when it is a question of legality. This view is shown in Vine's terms of service, as they do not explicitly ban sexual content, the paper said. The only function in place right now to regulate the videos is a button where viewers can mark a video as inappropriate, the paper added. That said, such a tag will not necessarily remove the video: if a certain- though unknown- number of people mark the video as inappropriate, it will be given a warning before the video, but it will still be allowed to run.
