'Sports car fire started in engine' - Times of India

MUMBAI: The fire brigade has declared the Audi R8 fire an accident. A day after the Rs1.8 crore-Audi R8 sports car caught fire on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL), the fire department said that prima facie the incident is being considered an accident and deduced that the fire could have started in the engine.

The officials say that they will soon be submitting an investigation report to the police. Meanwhile, officers at the Worli police station said that no any further action could be taken only after the fire brig ade's final report. The northern half side of BWSL was jammed for two hours when the car caught fire on Sunday before traffic was permitted to cross the bridge.
