RCom, Lenovo launch new range of CDMA smartphones - Times of India

NEW DELHI: Reliance Communications (RCom) and Lenovo today announced the launch of a range of smartphones that work on CDMA and GSM network simultaneously and use the Reliance 'Dual Core' network advantage. The network technology by RCom allows phones to switch calls between GSM and CDMA networks automatically, based on the strength and quality of RF signals.

The Reliance-Lenovo smartphones will operate on the latest Android operating system with a dual-core 1GHz processor. These new smartphones as well as special customer plans will be available across 2,500 Reliance stores and 1,000 company stores of Lenovo and will be exclusively available for customers of the two companies.

Announcing this partnership, Gurdeep Singh, president & CEO - wireless business, Reliance Communications said, "We are happy to announce our partnership with Lenovo to offer the most innovative dual technology smartphones in the country. We are confident that the unmet demand of an innovative CDMA smartphone with exciting features at an attractive price point bundled with our most innovative 'All Share' plans will fulfil the demand of every customer on our superior ne twork."
