Jaguar Land Rover registers record global sales during 2012 - Rush Lane

Jaguar Land Rover finished 2012 with a total sales of 357,773 cars. Highlights include, 100,000 sales for Evoque, China sales up 70% and 800 new jobs created. China is now the biggest consumer of JLR cars.

Enhanced deliveries were seen in markets of UK, China and the US while the company will also be adding 800 new jobs so as to augment manufacturing processes in Solihull, UK plant.

Where global markets are concerned, China is the company's largest market where deliveries during 2012 were up 71% to 71,940 units. UK markets also saw enhanced performance with sales up 19% to 68,333 units followed by markets across the US where sales touched 55,675 units. Russian and German sales also added to the company's enhanced performance with sales up 43% and 41% respectively during the past year.

The one model which received resounding success during 2012 was the Range Rover Evoque with 108,598 units sold in its first full year of sales. Land Rover also saw increased sales where Land Rover 4/LR4 also saw increased demand while Range Rover Sport sales were up 4%.
